Brass & Bronze Ingot Established 1888
Our products enjoy a wide range of applications spanning all phases of domestic and industrial life. The building industry requires valves, faucets, accessories and hardware; shipbuilding requires valves, bearings and propellers; transportation needs bearings and gears; the food, dairy, beverage, chemical and petroleum industries need an array of corrosion resistant alloys; communications and electrical industries require castings of high electrical conductivity.
The smelting process takes place in a variety of gas and electric furnaces with a wide range of capacities. Each furnace type has procedural differences but essentially all work along a similar vein. A mixture of raw materials, pre-selected to approximate the desired final result, is charged into the furnace. Chemical analyses are performed throughout the refining process. Our laboratory employs state of the art testing equipment to ascertain the exact chemical analysis and determine the mechanical properties for each alloy we manufacture. Once the heat is within specification, the metal is poured into molds, allowed to cool, and stacked on pallets for shipment to our customers.
